Unity Through Relationships, Belief and Action
This three-part series, Unity in the Church: Relation, Belief, and Action, unpacks the core aspects of Christian unity. In Unity of Relation, we explore how unity begins as a gift from the Triune God, grounding believers as “one in Christ” (Eph. 4:4-5), a foundation that precedes belief and action. Unity of Belief highlights the shared doctrines that define our faith, stressing the authority of Scripture as the basis for doctrinal unity (1 Tim. 3:16, 4:9-11) and the importance of distinguishing essential doctrines from disputable ones. Finally, Unity of Action reveals how our faith is visibly unified through cooperative efforts aimed at God’s glory, the Gospel’s expansion, and the common good, as seen in 1 Corinthians 3:1-4 and Titus 3:9-10.
