Local Missions

We are thrilled to announce that beginning this April/May, we will be launching CityServe Canada operations in Barrie, establishing one of the distribution hubs for our local churches. CityServe is a collaborative network of charities and non-profit organizations dedicated to receiving and distributing new, donated goods to serve communities across Canada. By partnering with CityServe, churches within the network will have an additional avenue of benevolence, enabling us to provide practical resources—such as bedding, clothing, and household items—to those in need within our community. This initiative not only supports individuals and families but also fosters environmental stewardship by redistributing unsold goods from retailers.

In addition to CityServe, we are excited to share that we will be participating in "The Big Give," an annual event organized by One Way Ministries, scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2025. The Big Give is a national movement where churches across Canada unite to bless their neighborhoods through a day of extravagant giving, offering everything entirely free. This event is powered by volunteers passionate about demonstrating Christ's love in tangible ways, aiming to draw our communities into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Activities may include free household item giveaways, fun days, barbecues, car washes, and more, all designed to meet the unique needs of our neighbours.

These efforts are the fruit of dedicated prayer and planning with our partners since October 2024. As we approach the launch, we will be reaching out directly to local churches within the network to provide information on how to access and participate in these support initiatives. We encourage each of you to consider how your congregation can get involved, whether through volunteering, donating goods, or offering services during The Big Give. Together, we can make a significant impact, embodying the love of Christ through generous service to our community.
